Stralsund – SIGMA Medizin-Technik provides NEUROWERK EMG for “Neurophysiology Weekend“
During practical exercises within the course, the NEUROWERK EMG demonstrated once again its qualities and enthused participants with its simple and intuitive operating concept.
The 12th Stralsund Neurophysiology Weekend – annually organized by the Hospital HELIOS Hanseklinikum Stralsund and under direction of Prof. Dr. H-J. Sieb – was again supported by SIGMA Medizin-Technik with several NEUROWERK EMG systems to realize practical exercises during the workshop.
First, Mr. Grigo and Prof. Schulte-Mattler (Neurological University Clinic of Regensburg), led the technical seminar for medical technical assistants (MTA), which was held prior the EMG course. This year, the topic included evoked potentials and magnetic stimulation. The subsequent Neurophysiology Weekend was booked by doctors from various clinics and practices from all of Germany. The lecturer team, consisting of Prof. Bischoff (Munich), Dr. Scheglmann (Augsburg / Zurich), Prof. Schulte-Mattler (Regensburg) and Prof. Sieb (Stralsund), led the participants understandable and precise through the subject which was under the slogan “EMG – quite simply “. The lectures included practical exercises in small groups in which approx. 50 participants were able to train on 5 EMG devices. Depending on their level of knowledge, they could join groups for beginners or advanced. So it was possible for everyone to process the relevant information and to ask specific questions.
In addition to imparting theoretical and practical knowledge, a variety of cultural activities were offered to the attendees. These activities included for example a dinner inside a gothic “Dielenhaus” (common type of house) and a guided tour through Stralsund’s Old Town which is UNESCO World Heritage Site. In relaxed atmosphere new contacts were made and the exchange of ideas could continue. On the last day, the focus was on magnet stimulation as well as the topic of nerve sonography (Prof. Schminke, Greifswald).
We would like to thank Prof. Sieb and his staff for the perfect organization, the thematic diversity and the practical focus of the weekend program. We are already looking forward to the continuation in the coming year, which takes place from 29th September to 1st October 2017 – and we will support this workshop again with our NEUROWERK devices.
