Chemnitz – SIGMA Medizin-Technik organized an EEG Workshop for medical technical assistants at the Chemnitz Hospital
On 4th June 2016, an EEG workshop took place which aroused great interest among numerous medical technical assistants from the region. Approximately 25 participants were able to receive one of the coveted seats and used the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of electroencephalography.
Also this year, SIGMA Medizin-Technik organized again a joint workshop with the Chemnitz Hospital in the premises of the Department of Neurology.
Our speakers Dr. med. Steve Dettmann, Head of the Department of Neurophysiology at the Chemnitz Hospital, and Mrs Konstanze Güra as well as a representative of SIGMA Medizin-Technik provided theoretical content to the participants in the morning, which has been intensified in the afternoon on our NEUROWERK EEG equipment by practical lessons. Topics of the workshop were for example the 10-20 system and the recognition and avoidance of artifacts, or the right setting of EEG caps. At the same time, all participants were able to convince themselves of the simple and reliable operation of our equipment. Further, our new NEUROWERK EMG was also locally presented by our colleagues and attracted the attention of some participants.
We thank all participants for the great interest and the positive feedback. We also thank our speakers and the Department of Neurology Chemnitz for the successful event and look forward to hopefully being able to offer the next workshop in Chemnitz again.
