Magdeburg – SIGMA Medizin-Technik accompanied a training course of FNTA on the subject of neurography.
On 25th August 2017, the FNTA (Association of Neurophysiological Technical Assistants) organized a training course for MTAs at the University Hospital in Magdeburg. The training was held to the topic “sensory and motor neurography of the upper and lower extremities”.
For many years, SIGMA Medizin-Technik has regularly supported FNTA‘s workshops inside the neurological field and has provided NEUROWERK EEG or EMG systems to carry out practical training courses. For the course of neurography at the end of August in Magdeburg, our colleagues Mr. Carsten Klaus and Mr. Jens Buley (Sales Germany) were on site with a NEUROWERK EMG to accompany the training.
Ms Anne Katrin Baum (MTA-F) from the University Hospital of Neurology Magdeburg guided the participants as a consultant through the training day. The workshop program started with a theoretical introduction to the fundamentals of neurography. During the further course of the day, the sensory and motor neurography of the upper and lower extremities was also extensively examined and practiced. The theoretical lecture was followed by the practical part, which was designed according to the wishes and knowledge of the participants.
During the practical part, the participants were able to test the correct derivation of the nerve conductive velocity of motor and sensory nerve tracts on the NEUROWERK EMG. Because of the easy and intuitive usability of the NEUROWERK EMG systems, the recording of the sural nerve and the radial nerve were a waltz.
We would like to thank the University Hospital Magdeburg and the FNTA for the invitation and look forward to many more joint courses.
