St. Gallen, Switzerland – SIGMA Medizin-Technik supports EP-EMG course at the Children’s Hospital.
Business Unit Manager Riccardo Solda accompanies the annual training in a children’s hospital in eastern Switzerland with a Micromed EP-EMG system.
In the first week of December 2018, the Children’s Hospital in St. Gallen held a training course in dealing with EP-EMG devices for interested parties. Our staff of SIGMA Medizin-Technik Mr. Riccardo Solda is the German contact for Micromed products and was on site. He is responsible for the sales area Germany and Switzerland. During the course in St. Gallen, Mr. Solda on behalf of SIGMA Medizin-Technik GmbH provided a Micromed EP-EMG system to the Children’s Hospital.
The training offered was fully booked with 20 people and was attended by doctors, technicians, students from Switzerland and Germany. The German participants came from – among others – Tübingen, Constance, Münster and neighboured towns. For the first time, in addition to the topic EP, the functioning of an EMG system was included in the course agenda. Instructors explained on a Micromed EMG the peculiarities to be considered in the practical application to children, from newborn to 18 years old.
Dr. Maier and his senior physician Dr. Broser successfully led the course. Both are experts in the field of electromyography. Dr. Broser brought a completely new program into the lesson and inspired the participants. His expertise covers the full range of EMG exams, including single fiber studies and MUAP.
The Micromed EMG provided by our colleague Riccardo Solda for the workshop was supplemented by a separate unit of the clinic. So two Micromed systems were ready for testing. The diversified EP-EMG course at the Children’s Hospital in St. Gallen was a complete satisfaction for everyone. Contributing to the event was provided by our Italian colleagues from Micromed Italy. SIGMA Medizin-Technik thanks a lot for that. Business Unit Manager Riccardo Solda greatly appreciates the successful cooperation with the course instructors Dr. Maier and Dr. Broser and is looking forward to further joint projects. SIGMA Medizin-Technik GmbH will gladly support this event again in 2019.
